Saturday was an amazing day in one of the most picturesque and beautiful areas of Scotland for a wedding, Seamill Hydro in West Kilbride, Ayrshire. Stuart was the host for the day.
We have been planning this day for months alongside Laura & Gary and as they say, preparation is key!
Upon arrival in the morning we met Lynne from Something Blue who was setting up the ceremony room with chair covers as well as candles, runners and downstairs in the reception room there was a postbox, top table skirt as well as other gorgeous features.
After meeting Gary and his best man Darrin, we popped up to see the then current Miss McConville and her massive bridal party! The party was starting already in the bridal suite! Laura’s dad Harry was there, what a guy! We also met Cole who is Laura & Gary’s little boy who was a wee charmer!
The ceremony was slightly delayed but no one minded as the laughter and drinks were flowing and gave us a chance to speak with “Aunty Pat”.
Eventually the ceremony began with Harry walking Laura down the aisle to John Legend’s “All of Me”.
The ceremony was taken by the ladies from Ayrshire registrars and was a lovely service and a special reading was given to Cole.
After the drinks reception and photographs, we made our way to the reception room where speeches were given. Well done to all that done so well!
During the wedding breakfast we had some top celebrity lookalikes including ET, Kerry Katona, Tom Jones, Grado and our favourite…Billy the Vicar from Coronation Street!
After the fun of the wedding breakfast we changed the room around and turned on the moodlights. Got the name monogram projector lit and prepared for the first dance.
The love letters, candy cart and Photobooth were supplied by Piping Hot Weddings.
A special mention to Kylie who wanted to sing along to loads of songs with her trademark “Here we go”!
Loads of great songs, great times and great laughs with some great guests.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Reid!
